Divine Mercy Sunday: Help My Unbelief

The only time I feel respite from Life’s stressors is when I step into a church.
Immediate peace.
Immense gratitude.
Divine inspiration.
Healing tears.

The only person I confide in is the One up above.
He understands.
He listens.
He cares.
He heals.
He empowers.
He loves.
Me as I am.

It has been a week of self-doubt but He reminded me in today’s Responsorial Psalm, “The stone which the builder’s rejected has become the cornerstone” (Psalm 118:22).

Like doubting Thomas in today’s Gospel, I beseech God to help my unbelief. Giving into self-doubt is failing to be grateful for the gifts, talents, and charisms He has given me for the good of my community.

In His grace and mercy, He takes all of me — woundedness and littleness — and will use it for His glory.
